The Countrywide story starts with a 13 year old apprentice called Lee Clarke.

Lee started working in flooring part time with his uncle, and was offered a five year apprenticeship on leaving school at 16 where he learned all about floor fittings using traditional methods, in rooms aboard the QE2 and hotels like the Sandbanks and Chine.

Spending a further five years as a sole trader working around the flooring industry Lee capitalised on a high level of recommendations for his quality workmanship and established Countrywide Flooring in 1997.

Building up a team quickly from the experienced tradesmen he had worked around for years Lee focused on gaining recognition and a reputation as a company offering exceptional levels of service and only the very best products.

Over a decade later Countrywide is exactly that, with a prestigious client base, approved installer status with many leading manufacturers and membership of numerous trade associations, training schemes and industry bodies relating to safety and quality workmanship.

Today we work nationwide and even venture into Europe for occasional large scale projects; Lee remains a hands on director intimately involved in every project to ensure things are delivered just the way he intended; to every customer’s absolute satisfaction.
